When are player evaluations for next season held?
Travel team player evaluations for the next season (that starts in September) are typically held in March of that same calendar year, but may possibly be held as late as April. The exact dates are determined based on a number of factors, including the last possible game of the playoffs for all of our current teams, rink availability and coach availability. Watch the NAYHL website (knighthockey.org) to be informed of the exact dates of the evaluations.

There are no evaluations for the Learn to Skate or Learn to Play Hockey programs.

What happens if my player misses the player evaluations?
It depends. If this is the player's first year with NAYHL, he will likely be placed in the lowest level of his age group and advanced to a more advanced level, if appropriate. If the player skated for a NAYHL team in the past year, the coach's assessment will be used to place him on the most appropriate team.

What is the general order of events between evaluations and the start of the season for the travel teams?
As described above, evaluations for the next hockey season are held in March or April.
Team selection, shirt sizing and number selection are done in late May or early June.
Shirt pickup is typically scheduled for late August or early September, depending on when the shirts are available.

For each of these events, the league website will be updated as soon as the dates are identified and emails will be sent out to all families as the date approaches.

There are no evaluations for the Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey programs, nor are there shirt sizings and pickup. The Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey programs start in mid-September. If you have registered with the league, you should receive an email well before the program starts. If you are not yet registered, check the website regularly for schedule updates.

When are my payments due?
For the travel teams (Mites, Squirts, Peewees, Bantams, U12 and U14 Panthers), the NAYHL has put together a payment plan that lets you make payments for the season starting just after player evaluations and running until the end of the year. Generally, payments are due on the first day of the month from May through December. The payment schedule that applies for your player is emailed to you when you register him or her.

The Learn to Skate tuition must be paid in full prior to the start of the session.
The Learn to Play Hockey program requires a fee at registration, with the balance due just prior to the first skate of the session.

In all cases, the easiest way to make these payments is by credit card on the NAYHL website.

How can I make a payment or check the balance that my family owes for my player or players?
You can make payments to the NAYHL or check the current balance that your family owes by logging in to your personal account at knighthockey.org. Simply click on "Edit My Account" in the menu on the left. Log in using the email address and password that you previously provided during registration. Once logged in, you will be presented with a list of family members who are either players or their parents. Also listed will be any program or programs that players are registered for, the total cost of each program, the amount paid and the amount due. Finally, there is also a button (labeled "Pay Now"). Click this button to make a payment.

Can I make my payment by check?
Yes. Although credit cards are easier for both payer and payee, we will still accept your check! If you prefer to pay by check, you can mail your payment to:
NAYHL
PO Box 253
North Andover, MA 01845

Note that it may take up to a month for your payment to be reflected in your online balance if you pay by check.

My player sold "Shake the Money Tree" raffle tickets - why isn't this reflected in my balance due?
Once tickets and money begin to get turned in, we will update your balances periodically - likely, about once per month. If it has been more than a month since you turned in your tickets and still don't see the change in your amount due, please contact the NAYHL Treasurer at: " "

I've forgotten my password to the website - how can I recover my password?
As long as you remember the email address that you used to register your player or players, you can recover your password by entering the email address only at the login screen. Your password will be emailed to you.

If you have forgotten the email address that you used to register with at NAYHL or are still having problems logging in to the website, send email to for assistance logging in.

How do I change my player’s birth date on the website?
Once you set your player's birth date on the website, you cannot change it. Please request a change of the birth date by sending email to: webmaster@knighthockey.org

Who gets the feedback when I send it in via the feedback link?
NAYHL recognizes the importance of confidentiality.  The feedback goes in an email form to the president of the league. From there, only the board member(s) absolutely necessary to provide input or complete a request will be forwarded a copy of the email. Members can be confident that their comments and opinions about managers, coaches, or any volunteers, sent in via the Feedback link will NOT be forwarded or shown to the people who are the subject(s) of the email.  We do strongly encourage our members to use the FEEDBACK link regularly, so that we can continue to keep a pulse on all aspects of the league.

How will I be notified when a game or practice is rescheduled or canceled?
If it is necessary to reschedule or cancel a game, you will be notified directly by the coach or one of his assistants. This may be by phone or by email, depending on how close you are to the start of the event. If you are notified by email, please respond and let the coach know that you got the message.

Do not depend on the website for this information!

You haven't addressed my question here. How can I get it addressed?
If we haven't been able to answer your questions, feel free to use the "Feedback" link in the menu on the left to send a message to the league president. As described above, he will see that the question is addressed by an appropriate representative of the league.
