Learn to Skate
Now on Saturdays at the Brooks School
lead instructor: Stacy Lane
Stacy Lane is North Andover Youth Hockeys premier on-ice learn to skate instructor for the upcoming season. Stacy has 27+ years of coaching and is a Professional Skaters Association Senior Rated Coach. She is very experienced in both hockey skating instruction as well as figure skating. She provides specialty disciplines for skaters of all ages and levels; from the beginner to the most competitive skater.
When
This program runs for 8 weeks per session. We will hold 3 separate sessions to get your child ready for learn to play hockey.
Learn to skate will be held on Saturday mornings at the Brooks School in North Andover for sessions 1 and 2. Session 3 will be held at the Lawrence Valley Forum on Thursdays.
LTS Session 1 starts Saturday, 10/19 10:00 - 11:00 am @ Brooks.
LTS Session 2/3 start date TBD

Designed for children ages 4 and up who are first time skaters.
Volunteers
Volunteers are welcome but must be registered with USA Hockey.
Where
Practices are held at the Brooks School in North Andover and at Lawrence Valley Forum.

NAYH is offering an 8 week Learn To Skate program! This program is a lot of fun for the kids. You will be amazed at how quickly they are skating on their own!
Designed for children ages four and up who are first time skaters, the Learn to Skate Program teaches the fundamentals of ice skating in a fun filled atmosphere with supervised instruction. The program focuses on skating skills, safety, and fun. Previous skating experience is not required.
All LTS participants should have the following equipment to participate in the program:
Hockey Skates (no figure skates please)
Helmet with full cage (All helmets and masks must be HECC certified)
Hockey Gloves (or gloves/mittens)
Elbow Pads (optional, but recommended)
Shin/Knee Pads (optional, but recommended)
A mouthguard is optional at this level
Snow or ski pants (recommended)
We recommend that you choose hockey equipment for your child in the LTS program.
